쿠바(Cuba) : 코히마르(Cojímar), 노벨상 수상 소설가 어니스트 헤밍웨이의 '노인과바다'의 배경
쿠바(Cuba)의 수도 하바나(Havana) 또는 아바나(Habana) 근교의 해변마을 코히마르(Cojímar)는 노벨상과 퓰리처상을 수상한 소설가이자 언론인 어니스트 헤밍웨이(Ernest Miller Hemingway, 1899. 7. 21 – 1961, 7. 2)가 쿠바에 머물며 1951년 완성한 '노인과바다(The Old Man and the Sea)를 완성하였다. 노인과 바다는 코히마르(Cojímar)에 사는 어부의 이야기를 소재로 한 소설이다. 코히마르 해변에는 헤밍웨이의 흉상이 있는 기념관과 코히마르 요새(Cojímar fortress)가 있다.
