글렌 캠벨(Glen Travis Campbell, 1936 ~ )은 미국의 싱어송라이터, 기타연주자, 영화배우, 방송MC, 및 영화조연출가이다. 글렌 캠벨은 1958년 컨트리 음악 보컬그룹 "Champs"의 보컬리스트겸 기타리스트로 데뷔하였고 1962년 솔로로 데뷔하였다. 캠벨은 50년 간의 쇼비즈니스 경력동안 70개 이상의 앨범을 발표하였고 12개의 RIAA 골든앨범(Gold albums), 4 개의 플래티넘 앨범(Platinum albums) 1개의 더블 플래티넘 앨범(1 Double-Platinum album)을 포함하여 4,500만 개의 음반을 판매하였다.  또한 80여 개의 노래가 빌보드컨트리차트(Billboard Country Chart), 빌보드핫100(Billboard Hot 100), 또는 성인현대차트(Adult Contemporary Chart) 에 올랐고, 그 중 29 곡은 탑텐(Top 10)에 올랐으며 9곡은 최소한 한 차트 이상 1위에 올랐다. 캠벨의 히트곡은 'Gentle on My Mind', 'By the Time I Get to Phoenix', 'Wichita Lineman', Galveston', 'Rhinestone Cowboy', 'Southern Nights' 미국 포크 팝보컬음악그룹 'The New Christy Minstrels"의 원곡을 리메이크한 'Today' 등이 있다.

 

캠벨은 1967년 컨트리와 팝부문에 총 4개의 그래미상(Grammys)을 수상하였다. 'Gentle on My Mind'는 컨트리와 웨스턴에서 2개의 상을 수상하였고, 'By the Time I Get to Phoenix'는 팝부문에서 수상하였다. 초기의 3개 곡은 2000년, 2004년, 2008년 3회에 걸쳐 그래미명예의전당상(Grammy Hall of Fame Awards)을 수상하였고 본인은 2012년 그래미생애성취상(Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award)을 수상하였다. 컨트리뮤직협회(Country Music Association, CMA)과 컨트리뮤직아카데미(Academy of Country Music, ACM)로 부터 올해의남성보컬리스트(Male Vocalist of the Year) 트로피를 받았다. 또한 컨트리뮤직협회(Country Music Association, CMA)로부터 1968년 올해의엔터테이너(Entertainer of the Year) 최고상을 수상하였다. 1969년에는 배우 존웨인(John Wayne)이 캠벨을 픽업하여 영화 True Grit에 함께 출연하였고  캠벨은 골든글로브(Golden Globe) 최고유망신인(Most Promising Newcomer)으로 노미네이트되었다. 

 

캠벨은 2013년 건강상의 이유로 은퇴하였다.
