이 식물원은 호주 뉴사우스웨일즈주의 문화유산(New South Wales State Heritage Register)으로 등록되어 있으며, 2000년 유네스코에 의해 블루마운틴스 국립공원과 그 주변 지역과 주변 공원들의 총칭하여 "그레이터 블루마운틴스 지역(Greater Blue Mountains Area)"을 유네스코의 세계유산(자연유산)에 등록되면서 이 식물원도 포함되어 지정되었다.
