로이 오빈슨(Roy Orbison) : Only The Lonely, Crying, Oh, Pretty Woman(귀여운 여인) 영화 & OST
로이 오비슨(Roy Kelton Orbison, 1936 ~ 1988)은 '빅 오(Big O)라는 별명으로 불리기도하며 미국 출생의 싱어송라이터로 1956년 데뷔하여 1964년 'Oh Pretty Woman'으로 빌보드 싱글차트 정상에 오르기도 하였으며 이 노래는 1990년 제작된 리처드 기어와 쥴리아 로버츠 주연의 영화 '귀여운여인'의 주제가로 크게 히트하였다. Only The Lonely와 Crying도 빌보드 40위 내에 들기도 하였다. 개인적으로는 오토바이 사고로 부인을 잃고 화재로 아들 2명마저 잃은 후 1988년 심장마비로 세상을 떠났다. 1987 '로큰롤명예의전당(Rock and Roll Hall of Fame)'에 헌액되었으며, 1989년 '작곡가명예의전당(Songwriters Hall of Fame)'과 '내시빌작곡가명에의전당(Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame)에 헌액되었다. 2014년에는 '미국팝음악명에의전당(America's Pop Music Hall of Fame)에 헌액되었다. 음악잡지 롤링스톤(Rolling Stone)은 오비슨을 '위대한예술가(The Greatest Artists of All Time)' 37위로 선정하였고 '100대 위대한 가수(The 100 Greatest Singers of All Time)' 13위에 선정하였다.
