스키터 데이비스(Skeeter Davis, 본명,Mary Frances Penick, 1931-2004)는 켄터키주 출신의 여가수로 1940년대 10대에 The Davis Sisters(데이비스 자매)로 활동하면서 스키터 데이비스라는 이름을 사용하였고 1950년대에 솔로로 전향하였다. 1959년 Set Him Free라는 곡으로 그래미상에 후보로 올랐으며 최고의 히트곡은 1962년 12월에 발표한 The End of the World로서 1963년 빌보드 차드 2위에 오르는 등 지속적으로 인기를 얻게 되었다. 후에 카펜터스가 리바이벌하여 크게 히트하기도 하였다. My Last Date With You, Am I That Easy to Forget, I Can't Stay Mad At You, Gonna Get Along Without You Now, What Does it Take, I Can't Believe That it's All Over 등 많은 히트곡을 남겼다. 그녀는 총 5회의 그래미 후보에 올랐으며 4번이나 결혼을 하는 파란만장한 인생을 살았다.
Tell Tommy I Miss Him은 레이 피터슨 (Ray Peterson)이 불러 히트한 Tell Laura I Love Her에 대한 답곡으로 1961년 스키터 데이비스가 부른 곡이다.
